Clifton Playgroup Ltd is owned by its members. Our members have a say in how we are run through electing the Board of Directors, approving our annual accounts before they are filed with Companies House and the Charity Commission, and by discussing and voting on any big decisions that might change the nature of what Playgroup does. Our Articles of Association describe how our company operates and our rules and regulations.
All parents, grandparents and carers of children who attend Clifton Playgroup are eligible to become members of the company. We also welcome other members of our community that wish to support the group.
The annual subscription for membership is 10 hours voluntary work each year. This could be through activities as simple as baking cakes for cake sales, doing our weekly shopping, washing tea towels or telling stories to children in group, through to bigger commitments like being a regular parent helper in group, joining our Fundraising team or even our Board of Directors.
